I see my paintings as a connection with something that happens spontaneously… I will stumble upon and be astounded by the natural beauty of a particular object or natural vista. I enhance, manipulate and blend together colors in an attempt to capture their essence. Sometimes the subject is not beautiful in a conventional sense, but seen abstractly, its beauty is exposed through shape, texture, color and background.
